Appeal for South Lebanon
An official MECC appeal for solidarity with the people of South Lebanon and against forced displacement.
An appeal issued by the Middle East Council of Churches during Holy Week 2026, expressing full solidarity with the people of South Lebanon facing renewed threats to their security, stability and existence. It condemns all forms of violence and escalation against civilians, and calls on the international community to treat the protection of human life as an absolute priority, to reject forced displacement in all its forms, to urge the Lebanese state to do everything possible to protect its citizens, to ensure effective international protection, and to uphold human dignity in times of conflict.
