The Secretary General took part in the enthronement ceremony of Patriarch Mar Polis III Nona as Chaldean Patriarch of Iraq and the world in Baghdad. During the visit he met Metropolitan Ghattas Hazim, Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Baghdad and Kuwait, in a meeting on strengthening ecumenical work and the Church's role in accompanying the neediest amid Iraq's difficult conditions.
