On the sidelines of the "Christians in the Arab Levant and the Aspirations of Unity and Enlightenment" conference in Amman, held under the patronage of Prince El Hassan bin Talal, the Secretary General met His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem and All Palestine and Jordan. The meeting discussed ways to develop MECC's working mechanisms, and the Secretary General presented the Patriarch with a book on the monasteries of the Antiochian See published by the University of Balamand, and the fiftieth-anniversary logo of MECC's founding.
