MECC and Anba Abraam Charity sign a cooperation agreement
Michel Abs and Anba Antonios signed a memorandum for humanitarian and church cooperation serving communities in the region.
The Middle East Council of Churches and Anba Abraam Charity in Jerusalem signed a cooperation agreement in Beirut on 18 September 2026. Professor Michel Abs signed for the Council and Anba Antonios for the charity. In his remarks, Abs welcomed the delegation and spoke about serving people, particularly in Palestine and communities affected by crisis, displacement and poverty; he also presented MECC publications. The Arabic official report is used to confirm the signatories because the English page contains an editorial error in naming the Secretary General.
