
A delegation from the Eastern Club for Civilizations Dialogue visits the Secretary General
A visit and an invitation to the International Day of Diplomats, in furtherance of dialogue between cultural and religious institutions.
As part of strengthening cooperation and openness between cultural and religious institutions, and promoting the values of dialogue and encounter among different components of society, a delegation from the Eastern Club for Civilizations Dialogue — headed by the Club's President Dr. Elie Al-Sarghani, journalist Lea Maamary, member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Club, and Board of Trustees members Mr. Eddy Makhoul, Mrs. Aimée Bou Lahoud and Mrs. Amal Adel — visited MECC Secretary General Professor Michel Abs at the Council's headquarters in Hamra, Beirut. The Secretary General welcomed the delegation, commending the Club's initiatives and its role in promoting a culture of dialogue and openness, and praised its efforts in bringing together diverse communities around shared values that foster social peace and constructive cooperation. Delegation members affirmed that the Club continues its mission of spreading a culture of dialogue and consolidating principles of coexistence through seminars, conferences and cultural activities. During the visit, the delegation presented the Secretary General with an official invitation to attend the Club's International Day of Diplomats celebration, an occasion for renewing encounters among religious, cultural and social figures.
