A congratulatory visit to Reverend Dr Rima Nasrallah
The Secretary General led an MECC delegation on a congratulatory visit to Reverend Dr Rima Nasrallah, newly elected President of the National Evangelical Union of Lebanon.
On 5 August 2026 a Middle East Council of Churches delegation headed by Professor Michel Abs visited Reverend Dr Rima Nasrallah, pastor of the National Evangelical Church of Beirut and newly elected President of the National Evangelical Union of Lebanon. Abs praised her as "a worthy successor to a worthy predecessor," noting her contribution to ecumenical work and to the Season of Creation programme, and affirming the Council's continued cooperation with the Evangelical Church. The delegation presented her with the Council's fiftieth-anniversary medal together with a number of its publications.
